Ely Lodge Forest
These 250 hectares of woodland lie along Lower Lough Erne and rise to the Carrickreagh viewpoint. The forest has coniferous and broadleaved trees together with many mature European larch.
Visitors to Ely Lodge Forest are advised that access to certain areas is restricted. Forest Service is working through the appropriate channels, including the Departmental Solicitor's Office to resolve the matter and restore access. Forest Service apologises for the inconvenience and thanks visitors for their cooperation.
Activities
There are waymarked trails that take visitors along the shore with its jetty and many fishing stands. Or, up to Carrickreagh viewpoint with its views over the lough.
Sometimes, there may be restrictions on access to parts of the forest because of forest work. Pay attention to safety signage.
How to get there
The forest car park is along the A46 Enniskillen to Belleek road, four miles from Enniskillen.
